The Roodehoogte Nursery story began with a housewife who wanted a beautiful garden. Vicky Colyn soon started to supply flowers and plants to her friends. From this, Roodehoogte Nursery started in 1995. Farmers in the Robertson area asked her husband Gawie, to grow tomato plants for them, seeing that before then they got their plants from Stellenbosch. The nursery grew very fast and today it can handle a tray capacity of 25 000 at a time.
To this day, Roodehoogte Nursery still supplies good quality seedlings to the farmers in the Breede River Valley and flower plants for the beautiful gardens in our town. Seedling orders of more than a 1000 are done on a contract basis only. Please contact the office directly for a quote.
